I grew up in the mountains of British Columbia, where spending time outdoors—hiking, backpacking, and exploring trails—was simply part of everyday life. That early connection to the mountains eventually led me to endurance sport and, in particular, trail and ultradistance running.
Over the past several years I’ve trained and raced across a variety of endurance disciplines, including road running, Ironman triathlon, and trail and ultra-distance events. Through that experience I developed a strong interest not just in racing, but in understanding how training works—how consistency, volume, recovery, and fueling come together to support long-term performance.
Professionally, my background is in analytics and leadership, and that perspective naturally shapes how I approach training. I enjoy working with data, analyzing performance trends, and building structured plans that help athletes progress sustainably while balancing the demands of work, life, and training.
Through North Shore Endurance Coaching, I work with committed runners who want thoughtful, individualized guidance as they pursue their goals. My approach focuses on building consistency, managing training volume intelligently, and developing effective fueling and hydration strategies for long-distance events.
Whether an athlete is preparing for their first trail race or building toward an ultramarathon, my goal is to help them train smarter, stay durable, and develop the fitness needed to perform with confidence.
At the core of it all is a simple belief: endurance sport is a powerful way to challenge ourselves, explore incredible places, and discover what we’re capable of.
North Shore Endurance Coaching is designed for committed runners who want structured, sustainable progress.
This coaching is a good fit if you are:
A new or intermediate runner who takes training seriously
A trail or ultrarunner building toward longer distances
A road or triathlon athlete transitioning into trail or ultra running
A busy professional who values structure, efficiency, and clarity in their training
To ensure high-quality, individualized support, I work with a small number of athletes at a time.
My coaching philosophy is built on a few core principles:
Consistency beats perfection
Fueling and hydration are performance skills
Training decisions should be evidence-informed, not trend-driven
Long-term durability matters more than short-term gains
My goal is to help athletes train sustainably, avoid common volume and fueling mistakes, and build confidence through well-executed preparation.
